Minister Redge Green's young life began with many obstacles. At the age of six, he was shot and paralyzed from the waist down during a fight between two neighbors in his hometown of Richmond, California. Two days after this incident, his father died of a drug overdose. It was here that Minister Redge's strong character emerged, he became anxious and determined to not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord (Psalms 118:17). Encouraged by his mother, Mother Morris, a devout Christian woman full of faith, he was taught to believe and trust in God's divine purpose. You can hear his powerful Testimony on his music page.

Minister Redge is an awesome, anointed, Holy Ghost-filled speaker, recording artist and actor. He does not have a college degree, a master's degree, nor does he have a Ph.D., but he does have a God given G-I-F-T, and he is truly a “gift” to the body of Christ. Believing wholeheartedly that God had a purpose for his life, Minister Redge became a professional actor, in spite of those who had doubt. Seen by millions, his acting career gave him the visibility that would be vital to his ministry calling. His acting career began at age thirteen when he starred in a film entitled "Able to do." This breakthrough role opened the door for his future television and movie appearances. He has appeared on commercials for Reebok and McDonalds, several television series such as “Fall Guy,” “After M.A.S.H.,” “Highway to Heaven,” “Different Strokes,” “What’s Happening Now,” and the Christian stage play “Wicked Ways” written by Michael Matthews.

However, Minister Redge is best known for his portrayal of “Lil’ Chris,” the paraplegic youth in John Singleton's Columbia Pictures hit movie “Boyz N The Hood.” The life of the character he portrays bears a striking resemblance to his own life. “Lil’ Chris” represented Minister Redge's life before he met Christ. Like so many of our youth today his obstacles were many until he met Jesus Christ!

However, unlike the character he portrayed, Minister Redge views his frayed childhood and undeserved disability as a positive tool that is used to encourage, inspire, and empower today's youth and the many souls with disabilities that are overlooked at many church services across the country. Minister Redge's life today is representative of Phil. 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” He relates to and provides anointed God-given wisdom and answers to the problems and concerns of our youth. After starring in “Boyz N The Hood” BrotheRedge released a gospel rap album titled BrotheRedge, The True Roll Model. He appeared and performed with John P. Kee, Yolanda Adams, Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir, and toured with Christian rapper T-Bone just to name a few.

God called, appointed, and anointed Brother Redge for ministry. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Minister Redge has emerged as one of God's best in Youth Ministry and family reconciliation. Currently he travels across the country to minister to many congregations and their youth from various denominations, economic, ethnic and social backgrounds. Minister Redge has opened his life for all to see God's glory by becoming completely transparent. He deals with real life issues in a real way. Some of his empowering, enlightening, inspiring, encouraging, and motivational messages are I Can Still Walk, It's Not Too Late To Dance Like David, Say Not Because You Can Throw Down, Don't Underestimate Your Company, and Don't Fall In Love Unless You Can Swim.

In addition to his youth empowerment speaking, he is independently releasing his second gospel rap album titled "Dress Rehearsal." Also, he is currently working on publishing his first book endeavor titled Don't Fall In Love Unless You Can Swim. This body of work is an anointed power-filled message that will open up its reader's outlook on "falling" in love based on God's Word.
